What you can do this month..

This last month I have seen you both change so much, this is what you have been getting up to...

Emily you celebrated your 3rd birthday, we had a my little pony birthday party, your nanna and pop surprised you by bringing Mia over for a sleep over, I made you a rainbow layered cake, it was yum. You cried when everyone sang you happy birthday, because I couldn't light the candles as it was too windy. I made you a tee pee as all you want to do is make a tent in the lounge room. You got a massive 14 foot trampoline for your birthday. You keep wishing everyone happy birthday and making Georgia and I birthday cakes out of the most random items, your babushka dolls are a favourite for this. You decided that being 2 was better as you didn't want to give up your milk before bed time and would rather wear your nap naps to bed. We are still negotiating this. You have learnt to put on your pj's yourself, you love helping in the kitchen and learning how to do everything. You made pink milk and a jam sandwich all on your own. You call afternoon tea, "after morning tea".You love talking on your imaginary phone, no matter where you are if you need to talk to someone, you whip it out and chatter away having a conversation and then after you have finished, you put it back in your pocket. It is so cute, your daddy and I love it. When we were last in Perth, Pa tried to teach you how to make a popping sound with your finger in your cheek, one morning you finally did it and was so excited, you had to call him right away. When saying goodbye to your daddy at the bus stop for work, you always cry, the bus driver now even waves and sometimes toots the horn for you. You exclaim all the way home, "that you have lost your daddy!" We had a break through this week, you have finally stopped crying. You also drew your very first stick man of your daddy. We are loving watching you become more independent, just don't grow up too quick.

Georgia what a big month it has been for you, you have just turned 7 months old. You can now say mum and bub, and you love making this little noise with your mouth. You are really noticing when I am not in the room and have started putting your arms out for me to pick you up. You have become a little clingy towards me, secretly I love it. Your eyes light up when your sister gives you any attention. You can well and truly sit up all on your own now, you still sometimes topple over when you see something you want. Your daddy has been trying ever so hard to get you crawling and today he succeeded, he was so excited. I was a little sad as it means you are growing up even faster. You had your 6 month old needles this month, a little late due to our holiday, but you had a reaction and with it came temperatures and made you extra cuddly for a few days, you had us worried. I have noticed that I have to feed you where its quiet now otherwise you may bight me or twist your head backwards to see what is going on. You don't like to miss anything. You are loving your food, we are trying lots of new tastes, you love mango, but are not overly keen on watermelon. Everything is going in your mouth, you don't mind what it is. You love the water and become instantly calm when you have a bath or shower, you like to chew on the face washer, although Emily always takes it off you. Your favourite toy is Sophie the giraffe and your organic teething ring. You are all smiles and just love to watch everything that is going on, if only you could learn to sleep a little better, maybe next month.

Lazy Sunday

Today has been an unusual day in regards to weather, we have been having high 30's. We have even been swimming, it's been getting too hot to even go to the park. But today was COLD it was overcast and thunderstorms, It was such a nice change before summer really kicks in.

So we spent the morning in our pj's, daddy was sleeping, as he is on nights. We had a play at a friends house and a jump on our trampoline. Then daddy surprised us by getting up early so we went jumping in muddy puddles. I loved hearing Emily squeal with delight when she found a splashy puddle and even Georgia was having fun laughing with her. We made yummy chicken soup just like Ga's for dinner. We took daddy to the bus stop, where Emily tried her hardest not to cry. We almost made it tonight as she waited until the bus went past before she broke down in tears. It makes my heart ache, she gets so upset waving him goodbye for the night. It doesn't matter even if we were to stay at home and say goodbye she cries just as hard. She really is her daddy's girl at the moment.

And that was our Sunday....

It's been too long in between visits

Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I have sat down and written a post. I knew it had been awhile and it's always something that has been at the back of my mind, as I watch the girls grow so quickly.

That's right I haven't even written on here since we had little Georgia, well George was a little girl and so we called her Georgia May. She was born on the 17th March and weighed 7pounds. She has settled in nicely to our little family, she is full of smiles and laughter, loves her big sister to the moon and back. In fact I can't really imagine a life with out her here, it feels like she has been here always.

So while I have been sat on the couch feeding her, I have also been catching up on my favourite blogs on my Ipad and thinking how nice it is to be able to capture all those special memories. And with our girls changing so much and learning new things every day, I was forever thinking I should write that down so i can pop it on my blog later on my laptop, so that I could add photos.... Well the laptop has finally made it out of the spare room and here I am writing with the best intentions to start doing this a lot more, so I too can capture our special memories together as a family.

2 sleeps to go

Well it's not long now and Emily Jane and I will be back at Para airport and heading to Perth to have "George", with hubby not far behind. As much as I am going to miss hubby and my home while we are away, I am looking forward to spending some quality time with my parents. They have a pool!!!! and for the next few weeks I just want to float with my BIG fat belly around that pool and feel weightless.
I am feeling very sore and whingy, I am officially 35 weeks pregnant today and have started feeling sick again. My legs feel faint but really heavy and my ankles are so sore. I just want to meet you "George" and for our family to become 4 NOW well not before Sunday anyways.
We still don't know if we are having a boy or girl, most people have there money on a boy. Isn't it funny how when you become pregnant everyone thinks they have a right to scrutinise your belly... too big, too small, carrying high or low, all at the the front, tell you what your having, touch your belly without permission. Everything a pregnant lady wants to hear I'm sure. Could you imagine telling a non pregnant lady what you thought of her tummy hahahaha I could just see it now. You would probably get a well deserved slap!

I'm supposed to be cooking dinner right now, but since the lap top is set up in the kitchen I thought I would quickly blog to take my mind of the food cooking. For some reason I have no appetite and everything is making me feel sick again. With Emily Jane I was never sick, sorry twice once after I slaved over home made lasagne all afternoon.... I never did end up eating it. The other was really quite disgusting, our dog Winnie vomited in the house I took one look and joined in. But with "George" I have been sick on and off through out the pregnancy mostly in the evenings..... wander if that does mean a boy? Hubby thinks a girl. Will have to wait and see I suppose....

My little dancer

Emily had her first dance class this week, I don't know who was more excited me or her. Since the moment  she was born and I found out she was a girl, I have been waiting for this day to happen. Now I have promised myself not to be one of those pushy/diva mumma's and if I think she is not enjoying it then I won't make her go. But I am soooo looking forward to her end of year concert and being able to make her costume. I really hope we are still going by then.

On the morning of her class she came into my bedroom with her tutu on over her pyjamas, telling me she was ready for "dance castles" and could we please go now as she wanted to do twirls and ballet just like Ang Ballerina. When we arrived (a few hours later) she was so excited she couldn't stop twirling and so wanted to join in but was a little shy. She would run over almost to the group and then run back to me with the biggest smile and was quite happy to dance her own routine next to me, slowly she joined in with the group towards the end. It was so gorgeous to watch all the little girls in awe of there teacher following her every move.

I am just a little sad for her that we are off to Perth this Sunday to have bub, so she will miss out on most of the term and miss out on gaining her confidence in these new surroundings.  That's ok we will be able to buy some cute little leotards and skirts for her while we are down ooh and what about dancing shoes. I am so excited!!

How cute is her tutu and I'm loving her little dance bag that she received just in time from her Aunty Soph on her return from America.. New York, New York..... shame it's not in mumma size.

Be my valentines

Happy Valentines Day, we don't really celebrate it too much around here, normally a hand made card or two, a cute little poem added to the bottom of the 'book of love' from the paper, which I think is extra sweet as it is for my eyes only. (hubbys little tradition) I always make something yummy for him for dinner....

Here is a photo of my two loves.... next year there will be 3!!

Picking up Ga

This week Ga (my mum) came to visit It was a last minute decision which was perfect for Emily as she didn't have too many sleeps to count. As we got closer to the airport she started yelling "don't worry Ga, I'm coming to get you" it was so cute. She was so patient waiting for her to get off the plane, even I was beginning to wander if she had missed it.....she was the last off.
As you can see by the smiles, she was very excited to see her. It has been a couple of months between visits which is the longest they have gone without seeing each other (we used to live 2 streets away when we were in Perth).
We had a great week catching up and relaxing, as always the good things go to fast and it was time for her to go home to Pa before we knew it. Only a week to go though and Emily and I will be off to Perth to have "George" then hubby will follow us down a few weeks later.
