Weigh in

So Harry and Flynn got there 6 month immunisations today and I asked for them to be weighed as well. Flynn was 8270gm and Harry was 8230gm.  Almost the same again. I was totally surprised as we thought Flynn had gained a little ground on Harry again. Harry settled quite quickly but Flynn bless him, cried himself to sleep. They had both been awake since 5.00am and were exhausted come 8.30. We spent the morning with some beautiful friends who just made my day, they are so relaxing and calming. The boys needed extra cuddles at lunch time, so I snuggled up on the coach with them and Georgia until school pick up.
Last night I had both the boys next to me as usual and I could feel them searching for each other in the dark until they found each others hand and settled with them holding hands on my chest. Twins really do have a special bond x

6 months old

Can you believe Flynn and Harry are 6 months old already. Time is flying unbelievably fast. They are both rolling all the time. Flynn has even attempted to crawl this month... He looked more like a little worm wriggling across the rug. They are both babbling heaps, harry said mumumum once but hasn't said it since.  Mummy's cuddles still settle them the fastest, but we have extra special smiles and giggles for daddy now. I love it when Ryan gets home from work and the boys really go all out for his attention. They are both sitting in the bumbos, although Flynn always tries to escape. They both love the jumpy activity Centre, think we may need another one. In the last few days toes have become there biggest fascination it is just so cute to watch them both simultaneously grabbing there feet. Still sleeping together and always holding hands. they have started taking toys off each other. They love there big sisters, who sit and sing and read to them all the time. Row row row your boat is a favorite for everyone. Still not sleeping through the night. One of my favorite things this month was waking next to Flynn and him exploring my face in the dark with his chubby little hands. We also had the DNA test done to confirm they are in fact identical as we were told they were fraternal. They have also started wearing some size 0,  can't wait to get them weighed next week.
We tried solids for the first time last night, sweet potato and bone broth, there faces were priceless, daddy got it all on video. I am loving this age and wish I could push the pause button.
While i am sat here writing this, Flynn has fallen fast asleep all smooched into my face, with a handful of hair. He has been really smoochy all day and giving big slobbery kisses.

Start the day right

We have survived our first week of school,  just.... All the kids for some reason decided that it would be cool to wake between 4.30 ànd 5.30 every day this week. Hopefully a sleep in tomorrow.
The first day of school Emily was feeling a little nervous, so to help her relax and take her mind of it, while we were waiting to leave. I streamed pharrel Williams 'happy' and Taylor Swift 'shake it off' to the TV and had both girls up dancing. They loved it and it has now become part of our morning routine once we are all ready and waiting to leave. Even the boys stop crying once they hear the music and see the girls dancing. It's just a really fun way to start the day and everyone leaves in a good mood.

Georgia plus water equals fun

Georgia is definitely an outdoor girl and is at her happiest outside naked at one with nature. She especially loves to play in the rain and luckily the summer storms we get up here at Tom price allow for her to explore them naked as it is still warm.  She hates to wear clothes and can't wait to strip off.
It doesn't always need to be raining just hanks bucket of water will suffice, just enough to make a mud scrub for her body or a muddy puddle to jump in...

First days

So it was Emily first day in pre primary and she loved it.... relief. We all went into her class and she was extra happy to see her friends after the holidays. Georgia got a huge cuddle goodbye and she blew me kisses.
It was so nice to pick her up in the afternoon and to hear all about her day. Who she played with, what they did. I'm looking forward to the parent info session, to learn what they will be doing this year.
Georgia had her first ever dance class today and she was amazing, so confident.i wasn't sure how she would be as she always has the security of Emily by her side.  She was however amazing and enjoyed herself ams hasn't stopped talking about it all day.

Growing up

I have such mixed emotions today. Emily starts pre primary tomorrow, full time school. Our little girl is growing up and fast. I will be sad not to have her at home all day with me, today we spent the day, doing a little painting and mostly baking. To prepare for the school week ahead. I think she is a little nervous as she was unable to eat her dinner tonight, which was her favorite roast. I really hope her teacher is lovely and does the best she can by her. A bad experience now can really alter the path she may take as school. I'm really praying the stars align for us in the morning, with getting everyone out the door with enough time to spare. On the other side, I am excited for her to go and learn, make new friends, explore her environment and then come back to me and tell me all about it.
There is also a first for Georgia as she has her first dance class tomorrow. I know she is very excited and hopefully she won't miss her big sister as much.
Harry has found his toes, it is just the cutest watching him explore them and try and pop them in his mouth.
Flynn is really trying to crawl he more or less does the worm across the floor.
I still can't believe they will be 6 months on Saturday and Georgia 3 next month.

Bath time

Well trying to bath all four of you is no small task. When we have time it's boys then girls. But on nights like tonight when we are running late, little people are grumpy and we just need it done fast.  It becomes a production line. All in the shower with mum, while dad does the drying.  The first time Flynn and Harry weren't sure, but tonight they loved it, little legs kicking, enjoying watching the water fall. I managed to get a quick snap of all of you freshly showered and hair washed, snuggled up on the coach.  Some of my favorite cuddles are when your all nice and clean and ready for bed, so we can chat about our day and what's happening tomorrow. Memories to be made

Australia day

Today is the boys first Australia Day. I woke to everyone in our bed, except Flynn. Who was laying chatting to himself in the boys cot next to my side of the bed. He was such a good boy and had only woken once in the night. We are starting to call him sleepy Saurus. Harry loves his cuddles so slept the night next to me. We really should start and get them sleeping in their own cots and room. I am just hanging on till the last minute, as that's it for babies in our room and that makes me a little sad.
We tried getting photos of the kids with my Australian flag. Trying to get 4 smiling is hard work. Ryan and the girls went to the pool, while I enjoyed a quick nap and cuddles with the boys.
While I was baking in the kitchen today, Georgia was helping me and teaching me how to pull funny faces. She is such a beautiful girl and her blonde curls tend to get her out of trouble.  She is really.struggling with her emotions and can very quickly get extremely frustrated, we are working on calming her and getting her to talk nicely and use her words, which seems to be working slowly.
While I'm lying here writing this, I have just finished feeding Harry and he is lying in my arms, all snuggled up in his sleeping bag smelling of talcum powder and baby, chatting away to me through his dummy.
I love all of our children equally, but right now I am so in love with these boys and can not believe we have been blessed with identical twin boys.
We really are very lucky and especially lto be able to bring our children up in a small town in Australia.

Birthday parties and early to bed

So I finally got my sewing machine out last night after 6 months of her hiding under piles on my desk. It was Charlottes 4th birthday party today and since I had made a little promise to myself to give handmade gifts this year. Emily and I decided to make her a doll with some mermaid fabric.  I loved creating again, apart from family, sewing is definitely my happy place.  It was so nice to have Emily so interested, the other 3 were sleeping so it was just us. Me sewing, her watching and chattering away. My girl is growing so quickly.
Today was her party and she loved it. I went with just the girls, feeling totally lost without Flynn and Harry to tend to. They had daddy time.
Kids had a ball and wore themselves out. My favorite part of today has been, being able to snuggle each one of our beautiful children  to sleep, individually and soak them up, hold hands, run my hands through their hair, listen to them tell me all about there day. Our babies are growing too fast for my liking, days are passing in a blur..
